I told a story at Halyards tonight. GEMS is a once a month show co-hosted by the inimitable Sharon Spell and loquacious Molly Cameron.

I didn’t prepare a story but I went because you don’t get better sitting in your bedroom making lipsync videos for Instagram.

So I told the story about my friend Mary Ellen.

The nice thing is that I’m at the point where I can tell stories in this format now on the fly. Five minute stories.

The nicest compliment I got was from this well-established storyteller/podcastaster named Adrien Behn who, after the show, asked me, “Why don’t I already know you?” As if I should be known in this city, in this circle.
